Two days of jumping, flying, splashing, and competing fun for dogs and people!

Buckeye DockDogs presents a Big Air Dock Jumping competition and Let’s Try DockDogs! sessions as part of the Canine Fun Days and Greyhound Reunion at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Moreland Hills, OH. Dog/handler teams will compete for cash, ribbons and prizes in Big Air, the long jump equivalent for canine athletes in DockDog competitions.

Those new to the sport can introduce their dog to Dock Jumping during Let’s Try DockDogs! sessions both days. Members will show how to encourage a dog to jump through coaching and enthusiasm. Information will be available on the benefits of joining Buckeye DockDogs, and club merchandise will be on sale.

The largest event of its kind in Ohio, the Canine Fun Days and Greyhound Reunion benefits the retired racing greyhounds of Greyhound Adoption of Ohio. A weekend for all dogs (and their people), Canine Fun Days features amazing demonstrations, rescue groups, agility, fun runs and races, delicious food and great stuff to buy for human and pets. All events are open to dogs that have never tried them before and to seasoned competitors!

Canine Fun Days General Admission:
This event benefits the Greyhound Rescue Group of Ohio; all proceeds go to helping taking care of the animals.

$5 for adults; $3 children under 12 (No charge for dogs!).
Weekend Pass: Enjoy both days at $8 for adults, $5 children.

Buckeye DockDogs Registration and Costs NEW INFORMATION!

Registration in advance for Big Air competition at www.dockdogs.com is encouraged as only 10 admissions per Wave will be held for walkup. Fee is $20 per Big Air Wave. Credit cards accepted for on-line registration only. Cash and checks accepted on site for Buckeye DockDogs competition.

Sign up for Let’s Try DockDogs! on-site; fee is $10 per try which benefits the Greyhound Rescue Group of Ohio. The $10 fee must be paid in tickets (no cash, checks or credit cards), which can be purchased on site at the Ticket Booth.

For Big Air Handlers:
Everyone must purchase a general admission ticket. Your friends and family who come with you can purchase a weekend pass if they wish (see Canine Fun Days General Admission above).

Once you have purchased your $5.00 general admission ticket and are in the event venue, go to the Buckeye DockDogs administration table to register. You will get a wristband that is required to get on the dock for competition.

You will then need to go to the Ticket Booth to redeem your $5 entrance fee for tickets (no cash will be returned, only tickets). Only handlers will have their entrance fee redeemed for tickets. Tickets can be used for trying a new sport, Let’s Try DockDogs!, or for food, not for purchasing items at the vendor booths. Proceeds support the Greyhound Rescue Group.

Baymont Inn and Suites is holding ten rooms per night for this event, at the rate of $79 per night + tax, pet fee waived. Mention Buckeye DockDogs when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by August 1, 2008; rooms may still be reserved after the cut-off date, but on a space available basis and at the current Rate of the Day.
