One of Northern Ohio's special summer events, the Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic Horse Show will be the site of Buckeye DockDogs first full competition of the summer, with Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve Waves over three days.

Buckeye DockDogs at the Hunter Jumper Classic is sponsored by Schneiders.
Western and English tack, apparel, footwear, grooming products, books and gifts since 1948.

The Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected horse shows, featuring international riders in a spectacular show of Olympic qualifying equestrian competitions and Grand Prix events. This long-standing Cleveland tradition is celebrated not only for its incredible equestrian sport and showmanship, but also for a past rich in financial support to various local charities in the community. Over one million dollars has been put back into the local community.

Dogs must be attended and on a leash at all times, except while competing. No bitches in heat allowed within Buckeye DockDogs event area.

Online Pre-Registration Opens May 12 and closes: July 15, 2008 unless one or more Waves fill prior to this closing date. (pre-reg. for a wave will close at 30 participants for Big Air, 22 for Speed Retrieve and 12 for E.V.)

Buckeye DockDogs Registration and Costs
Registration in advance at www.dockdogs.com is encouraged as only 10 admissions per Wave will be held for walkup. Credit cards accepted for on-line registration only.

Wave Entry Fees:
$20.00 per dog per Big Air Wave (Limited to 40 dogs per wave)
$30.00 per team for Extreme Vertical (Limited to 16 teams)
$25.00 per team for Speed Retrieve (Limited to 30 teams)

Ribbons and cash will be awarded to winners.

Tickets may be purchased at the gate, on line at www.clevelandhorseshow.com, or ahead of time at Schneiders Saddlery, 8255 East Washington St., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023 (call 1-800-365-1311 for store hours).

General Admission Ticket prices are:
Saturday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 16 - free general admission;
Thursday, July 17 through Saturday, July 19 - $5/adult, $3/senior and child 12 & under; Sunday, July 20 - $10/adult, $5/senior and child 12 and under.
Grass and bleacher seating is available with a general admission ticket.

Important Advisory: Absolutely no driving or parking on the polo field. This will be well marked; shuttle carts will be available as there will be some walking for the park is big and spread out.

Pets allowed

Baymont Inn and Suites is holding ten rooms per night for this event, at the rate of $79 per night + tax, pet fee waived. Mention Buckeye DockDogs when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by July 4, 2008; rooms may still be reserved after the cut-off date, but on a space available basis and at the current Rate of the Day.
