Sportsman Show Recap!

The dogs will be jumping big, high, and fast at the Northeast Ohio Sportsman Show, the fastest growing show of its kind in Ohio! Held in the heart of Amish country, this is the first Buckeye DockDogs competition in the Akron/Canton/Massillon/Wooster area and will include Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve competitions.

Plan on taking a vacation day, as the competitions begin on Friday, September 18 and run through Saturday, September 19.

Dogs must be attended and on a leash at all times, except while competing. No bitches in heat allowed within Buckeye DockDogs event area. No retractable leashes, please.

Registration in advance for all competitions is encouraged as only 10 admissions per Wave will be held for walkup. Credit cards accepted for on-line registration only. Cash and checks accepted on site for Buckeye DockDogs competition.

Online Pre-Registration Fees: $20.00 per dog per Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve Wave.

Onsite Registration Fees: $25.00 per dog per Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve Wave.

(You don’t need to be a DockDogs club member to compete, but we sure hope you enjoy the event so much you join!)

About the Show
Sponsored by the Kidron Sports Center and presented by JW Promotions, the Northeast Ohio Sportsman Show will include educational seminars led by expert speakers on everything from trapping and game calling to ice fishing - from atop the famous "Hawg Trough" giant fishing tank. Entertainment features include the archery expertise of Frank Addington Jr.,"The Aspirin Buster."

Kids will enjoy the Trout Fishing Pond and everyone will benefit from the array of vendors offering outdoor products and services of special interest to Ohio sportsmen. In between Waves, you can show off your Archery skills by entering your team for "Bow Baseball Tournament;” sponsored by Breezy Ridge Sports.

There will be more than just vendors and seminars at this event. Win big with Raffles sponsored by the Kidron Sports Center and see entertainment for the entire family.

Show Tickets
Adults: $10.00
12 and under Free

Pre-registered handlers do not need to purchase a Show ticket, but must follow this procedure:
1. Go to the main Show entrance and check in.
2. Proceed to Buckeye DockDogs area to check in, register, and get your wristband.

Competitors registering at the Show, volunteers, and families are required to buy a ticket for each day you attend.

Directions
Located between Wooster and Massillon, near the intersection of US Route 30 and OH Route 94, the Buckeye Event Center is an easy drive from anywhere in the Northeast Ohio area. You can't miss it — check out the big bright red roof! Free parking is available on site; if necessary, there will be free shuttles available from downtown Dalton.
