Let’s Try DockDogs! in Scioto County, Ohio
Free, open-to-the-public! Your opportunity to try this great sport!

If you’ve wanted to try dock jumping with your water-loving dog, here’s the perfect opportunity! This Let’s Try DockDogs! event is free and open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (or longer, if the enthusiasm is high and there’s lots of dogs).

Veteran Buckeye DockDogs members will demonstrate and teach newbies how to get your pooch introduced to jumping off a dock into water, and explain the differences of jumping for distance, height or speed.

Note: Buckle collars are permitted. No choke or pinch collars on the dock, and no bitches in heat.

Camping
Member Rod Niemer has room at his place in Ironton if any Buckeyes want to camp. Call him at (740) 646-3764 to reserve your space.

What to bring to a Buckeye DockDogs event:
For your dog:
No leash longer than 4-6 feet (mandatory)
No retractable leashes (mandatory)
Fetch toy
Towel
Dog treats
Poop bags
Water/bowl
Doggie Bed
Crate (Although there will be a fenced area, bring a crate if you have one.)

For you:
Lunch
Beverages
Towel
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
A hat if you wear one
A jacket just in case the temperature goes downhill
Raingear, because it’s Ohio!

For both of you:
Whether the weather is steamy and hazy, or breezy and sunny, bring a canopy. We’ll have a couple set up, but extras are so welcome.
