What a fun time!

We had lots of high flying dogs at the Medina County Fair. With plenty of newbies giving DockDogs a try, I think we have quite a few hooked. There was a new dog Guinness who right off the dock went into the pro finals. WOW! This will be a force to reckon with.

There was plenty of practice time for all and all that practice made for some very interesting finals.

The Big Air battle between Tiffany Ballow’s Marcie and Anna Balsamo’s Pico was really fun to listen to as the announcer put the pressure on each one to just put one more inch into their jumps to beat the other. In the end Pico came out the winner. Congratulations Anna & Pico!

Then came EV and again the battle was on. This time it was Tiffany’s Marcie and Sheena Stark’s Bosco who came all the way from Ontario, Canada to compete. After they both missed at 6’8” the flappy was lowered to 6’7” where they both missed again. At 6’6” they both made a clean grab and it was back up to 6’8” where Marcie took the win. What a battle it was! Congratulations Tiffany & Marcie!

Marcie also took first in Speed Retrieve and won Iron dog. I don't want to make this the Tiff & Marcie show, but they do deserve it! Her Coco took 4th place with Kyle in the Pro Finals, with a jump of 23'.

Birthday girl Linda Torson and Bosco came in 3rd in Amateur Finals. In Semi-Pro, Team Zeus came in 5th and Team Flyer came in 7th. Lynn’s Champ pulled off a 22'05" to make the Pro-finals and finished 5th. And Riot got a new PB of 17'09" to make the Amateur finals and ended up 3rd. And Jess (finally) got Duke into the pool!

I also want to say how happy I was to be in my hometown area at the Medina County Fair. I saw so many old friends, high school class mates, and former neighbors. I had a great time. Hope you did too!
