2009 DockDogs National Championship Recap

If there is one DockDogs event that you don’t want to miss, it is the 2009 DockDogs National Championships which launches the 10 Year Anniversary of the DockDogs organization. Kings Island Resort & Conference Center in Mason, Ohio will be the site of all the activities—the pools, the tents, the rooms, the Friday night social, the Saturday night Banquet, even RV parking.

There will be a total of three pools this year, one to be used exclusively for practicing. Each day, events should wrap up around 3:00 p.m. to allow for plenty of time for relaxing or getting ready for the Friday or Saturday night events.

Location
Kings Island is located 24 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and 36 miles south of Dayton, Ohio on I-71 (exit 24 Kings Island Drive). The park is less than a two-hour drive from Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky. There are direct flights from everywhere to each airport.

Hotel Reservations—BOOK NOW!
Hotel Reservations are available starting April 7, 2009 within the DockDogs block of rooms at the rate of $89 per room with no pet fee. Rooms hold 1-6 people as every room is equipped with a sofa in addition to a king bed or two double beds.
DockDogs is encouraging clubs to work together to organize their room reservations so that each club stays in the same area of the resort and establishes a headquarters. Download a map of the grounds by clicking here.

When you call to make your reservation, you will be reserving a specific room number. To reserve your hotel room, you can book online or you can call 1-800-727-3050 and ask to make a reservation in the DockDogs Group of Rooms.

Special Events and Festivities

RV Reservations
RV reservations are available on site for just $35 per night, but space is limited to 10. Please call Abby de Montfort directly at 513.229.5645 to reserve your RV space or for more information.

Food
There are two restaurants on site: Main Street Grille (open for breakfast only), and Coasters, a sports bar. In addition, the resort will have food stands set up throughout the grounds to offer concession food, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. The resort will also be open to the public to attend the competitions each day so friends and family guests are welcome.
