Message from the President

If you missed Clay's Park, you missed the biggest event of the year. With over 600 entries, this was the largest competition ever. It required two pools just to handle the number of dogs.

I would like to thank all the Buckeye DockDog members (and their families!) who attended, competed, and volunteered. All the Buckeye DockDogs T-shirts on the dock and on the grounds was a great sight. Your support is what makes this the biggest club in DockDogs.

The bake sale was a huge success and brought in over $400.00. I find this truly amazing. Thank you every one for your time in baking and working the booths.

The 50/50 raffle went over really well and the winner, Dave Hardesty took home $824.00. The pre-sale was the best thing we could have done. This high level of enthusiasm makes the club able to help members who are traveling to the National Championships in Mason, Ohio at the end of year.

I hope to see you soon at the next practice, event, or demonstration.

Ares won EV and finished at 7'2"...and had his best time in Speed Retrieve at 6.6 seconds and Best Big Air jump 18'2"

From Randi Breese of Lodi:
Crazy Parker was AMAZING this weekend. He did 3 jumps over 23 feet! His longest was a 23.01. He didn't get to jump in the finals, but he placed 12th. He jumped his little heart out!! Riley also jumped a whopping jump of 2.04. For him just getting in is a super feat!

I want to thank all you guys for the support you give my 2 Jr Handlers Taylor and Abbey. Abbey and Thor set their PB of 11'4". WooHoo!!!! Also this was his first comp to even jump off the dock!!!

From Joanna Samardge of Walton Hills:
After attending the May 16 "Let's Try DockDogs!" we decided to give Clay's Park a try. In our first competition, Zoe competed in two Big Air waves: in Big Air Wave 1B, her best jump was 6' 8" and she placed 3rd in the novice division; in Big Air Wave 2B, she jumped 8' 9" and placed 1st in the novice division. Her PB is 8'9".
